Dubai:The fate of the Asian joint bid for 2011 World Cup hangs in balance as the ICC is yet to accept the delayed submission and a final decision will be taken in the ICC Executive Board meeting here next week.

New Delhi:Uncowered by the strong Aussie-Kiwi joint bid and unperturbed by the fact that they have missed the deadline, a defiant BCCI, key component of the Asian Bloc, today oozed confidence that the 2011 World Cup will be held in the sub-continent.

Lahore:Even as the deadline to submit bids for hosting the 2011 Wold Cup expires today, the Asian joint bidders, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, have asked the ICC to extend the date for submission to March 20.
