Lahore: PCB selectors have axed the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal for the upcoming Asia Cup tournament to be held in Pakistan Akmal was dropped from a list of 20 players picked to attend a short training camp, from which a 15-member squad will be named for the June 24-July 6 contest in Pakistan.

Lahore: While many of the foreign players raised their concerns over participating in this year's Champions Trophy due to the prevailing security issues in host country Pakistan, the PCB has played down any such reports and said it is yet to hear from any of the national boards regarding their security concerns.
