Entire team given clean chit in dope-test: Dalmiya

Kolkata: All members of the Indian team have cleared the dope tests conducted on them during the recent New Zealand trip, Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya announced on Sunday.

"We have received the report. They have all come out clean," Dalmiya told reporters. All 15 members of the World Cup-bound squad underwent a dope test at Auckland on January 10 for the first time in the cricketing history of the country. BCCI, which was given a list of banned substances by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in August last year, decided to conduct the tests as a precautionary measure as dope examinations would be mandatory during the World Cup because of government regulations in South Africa. Dalmiya said the Board had circulated a list of the banned drugs among the South Africa-bound Indian players to keep them abreast of the regulations in this regard. "We have also given them details of the do's and dont's," he said. Extras:
