Durban: Sachin Tendulkar's century in the match against Namibia has propelled him to the top of the man-of-the-tournament standings in the World Cup, just ahead of England's bowling sensation James Anderson who will come face to face with the batting maestro in Wednesday's crucial group 'A' game between India and England.Tendulkar and Anderson have won two man-of-the-match awards each, giving them six points apiece but the Indian batsman got one point more for a fifty he scored against Holland. Tendulkar, with a ton and two half centuries in his kitty, is also the top-scorer in the tournament so far with 321 runs. He was adjudged man-of-the-match for his 81 against Zimbabwe and 152 against Namibia. Anderson was declared best player for his fiery bowling in matches against Holland and Pakistan. The man-of-the-tournament award is based on the cumulative man-of-the-match results awarded by the ICC match referee. After every game, the ICC match referee selects the top three players. The man-of- the-match receives three points towards man-of-the-tournament award, while the second best player receives two points and the third best gets one.
