Port Elizabeth: Namibia's Rudi van Vuuren registered the first five-wicket haul for minnows Namibia as it bowled out England for 272 at St George's Park on Wednesday. Vuuren, who has represented his country in both the rugby and cricket World Cups, claimed 5 for 43 with his medium pace after Namibia won the toss and elected to field. Alec Stewart, who led England after Nasser Hussain was ruled out with a stiff neck, made 60 while Marcus Trescothick contributed 58. All-rounder Ronnie Irani replaced Hussain in a match which England should get four full points after forfeiting its game in Zimbabwe on moral and security grounds. Vuuren provided his team with an early breakthrough when he dismissed Nick Night in the sixth over of the innings with England's total at 26. Vuuren then accounted for Michael Vaughan for 14 in his sixth over to leave England at 43 for 2. Stewart joined Trescothick in a third wicket stand of 78 to stabilise England's innings, both batsmen hitting strokes to all sides of the park. Jan Burger dismissed Trescothick for 58, a knock studded with eight boundaries and a six, while Deon Kotze removed Stewart for 60. Paceman Gerrie Snyman then took care of Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff and Ian Blackwell in the space of 42 runs before all-rounder Craig White hit a rapid 35 off 29 balls. Vuuren took three wickets in his last spell as England was bowled out with the final delivery of the 50th over.
