Bangalore: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the technical committee hearing regarding the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) request to reschedule its game against Zimbabwe, will take place from 2.00 pm (local time) - (5.30 pm IST) on Friday in Johannesburg. "The private meeting will take place in Johannesburg, and will involve all six members of the ICC technical committee, as well as ECB chief executive Tim Lamb, legal advisors from the ECB, Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) president Peter Chingoka and the legal counsel on behalf of ZCU," an official press release from the ICC said. The meeting, according to sources, is expected to be a lengthy and heated affair. The results of the meeting are expected only late on Friday or early on Saturday morning when the ICC is expected to hold a media conference. The ICC technical committee consists of the following: ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed, World Cup executive director Dr Ali Bacher, ICC Development International commercial manager Campbell Jamieson, United Cricket Board of South Africa's Brian Basson as well as independent members Sunil Gavaskar (India) and Michael Holding (West Indies). The technical committee will also consider the ZCU's referral of the Andy Flower and Henry Olonga incident of wearing black armbands during Zimbabwe's matches in protest against Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, the press release added.
