Dravid helps India fight back to beat Sri Lanka

Birmingham: India beat Sri Lanka by four wickets in its triangular series One-day International at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Rahul Dravid top scored with 64 in India's 188 for six before he was run out with the team nine runs short of victory. The result sent India into next Saturday's tournament final at Lord's, Sri Lanka's fourth straight defeat guaranteeing England's place there as well. An Upul Chandana wide sealed India's win with Mohammad Kaif and Ajit Agarkar both seven not out. India bowled out Sri Lanka for just 187, after captain Saurav Ganguly won the toss. But it suffered a collapse of its own as it slumped to 59 for four on a pitch assisting seam movement. Dravid and Yuvraj Singh (37) then steadied the ship in a stand of 91 that took India to 150 for five and in sight of victory. In the next triangular match Sri Lanka faces England at Old Trafford on Sunday in what is now a 'dead' fixture.
