This is the biggest score by an individual in the 113-year history of the holy grail of school cricket in the city, and with it Sarfaraz erased the previous mark of 422 by Sanjeev Jadhav of Shardashram Vidyamandir in 1986.
Harris Shield is the same tournament involving schools of Mumbai, wherein Sachin, playing with his childhood friend Vinod Kambli, made the massive 664-run partnership.
Sarfaraz's father Naushad Khan, who has been coaching him, has also been the source of inspiration to the young cricketer.
"It's a big achievement because in this age I had not even started cricket. It's a result of hard work and people's blessings," says a happy Naushad.
