Delhi Daredevils beat Cape Cobras by 30 runs

New Delhi: The Delhi Daredevils ended their Champions League campaign on a high note by a registering a 30 run victory over South Africa'se Cape Cobras.

However, the victory was nothing more than a consolation for Delhi with the Indian side already out of the tournament, after going down to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last outing.

Put in to bat first Delhi made modest 114-6, the hosts recorded a 30-run victory Cobras for just 84 - the lowest score of the tournament to date.

Owasis Shah top scored the Delhi innings with an unbeaten 39 from 38 balls, while Dinesh Karthik scored 23.

The Daredevils bouncedback impressively with Aussies pacer Nannes claiming three wickets for 19, while spinners Amit Mishra, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Yogesh Nagar each claiming two wickets as the already-qualified Cobras struggled with the bat.

After losing Gibbs first ball the Cobras never looked like achieving the target, and were bowled out for 84 in the 19th overHenry Davids (22) top scored  for Cobras.Cobras will play against Trinidad & Tobago in the semi finals. Victoria and New South Wales battle it out in the other semi-final.
