Harbhajan joins elite 300-wicket club
BhajjiNagpur: Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh became the third Indian bowler and twenty second in the world to capture 300 or more wickets when he had Ricky Ponting bowled for 24 in Australia's first innings on the second day of the fourth and final Test here today.

Harbhajan Singh thus has emulated recently retired Indian skipper Anil Kumble (616 wickets) and Kapil Dev (434) wickets to join the 300 club.

The Punjab off-spinner, who is often called 'turbanator', took his 300th wicket in his 72nd Test match in which he has taken five wickets in an innings on 22 occasions and 10 wickets in the match on five occasions.

The other bowlers who have taken 300 or more wickets are Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Glenn McGrath, Courtney Walsh, Kapil Dev, Sir Richard Hadlee, Shaun Pollock, Wasim Akram, Curtly Ambrose, Ian Botham, Malcolm Marshall, Waqar Younis, Imram Khan, Makhaya Ntini, Denis Lillee, Chaminds Vaas, Allan Donald, Bob Willis, Lance Gibbs and Fred Trueman.
