New Delhi: Last year on this very day, Team India under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni lifted the ICC Twenty-20 World cup in Johannesburg after beating Pakistan in the final.

It was the inaugural Twenty20 World Championship. Twelve teams took part in the thirteen-day tournament, comprising the ten Test playing nations as well as Kenya and Scotland, the latter teams having qualified by reaching the final of the 2007 WCL Division One tournament.

3,India's first-ever bowlout against Pakistan. Which India won 3-0.

4,Yuvraj Singh scored the fastest fifty in an official Twenty20 International from just 12 deliveries faced (previous best was 20 balls by Mohammed Ashraful in the same tournament) and also became the fourth cricketer in all official forms of cricket and the first in Twenty20 to hit sixes in an over. England's Stuart Broad was the bowler.

5, West Indies batsman Chris Gayle became the first person to hit a century in an official Twenty20 International. He also scored the most sixes in one innings of Twenty20 with 10.

6, Australian fast bowler Brett Lee took the first ever hat-trick in Twenty20 International cricket against Bangladesh.

7, Sreesanth and Harbhajan's great spells in the death overs against Australia in the semi-finals. And in the same match Yuvraj hit the longest six of the tournament (119 m). Brett Lee was the bowler.
