Sourav Ganguly eyes another comeback

GangulyKolkata: Determined to make yet another comeback, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has started a rigorous training session to regain his place in the national team.

Ganguly resumed practice this morning and worked hard at the nets after an hour long stint in the gym.

''He came early in the morning, waited patiently for 20 minutes for all of us to turn up and then started practice. He had some weight training in the gym for over one hour. Then he had some practice at the nets with the Bengal Ranji probables,'' trainer Chinmoy Roy said.

''He seems very determined to get back into the Indian team. From his body language it is clear that he is not thinking of calling it quits at the moment. Ganguly told me that he'll henceforth practice regularly as it feels bad not practising,'' he added.

Ganguly has been ignored by the selectors for the Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy. But the elegant left-hander is hoping to make another comeback for the home series against Australia next month.
