Mumbai:India paceman Ajit Agarkar today passed the fitness test for his injured finger and has been cleared for the South African one-day series beginning later this month.
Agarkar who had received a hairline fracture on his finger while fielding during the Champions Trophy match against West Indies in Ahmedabad, was today given the all clear by the Indian team physio John Gloster, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) administrative head Prof Ratnakar Shetty told

V R V Singh had been named as a replacement for Agarkar if the Mumbai paceman failed to recover from his injury.
Meanwhile, the Indian team will leave for South Africa on Nov 13 for the five-ODI series beginning on Nov 19.
