Bangalore: Women's Cricket World Cup champions New Zealand would play one test match and five One-day Internationals against India starting next week. The test match would be held at Vapi in Maharashtra from November 27 to November 30, chairperson of the selection committee Shantha Rangaswamy said. The One-day Internationals would be played at Mumbai (Dec 4), Aurangabad (Dec 7), Bangalore (Dec 10), Hyderabad (Dec 13) and Chennai (Dec 16), she said. Shantha said Maia Lewis led Kiwis has already arrived in India. The Indian side is captained by Mamatha Maben. The last time the two sides met in India was in the 1997 World Cup when the match ended in a tie. Shantha said while the Indian team would try to bounce back after a mediocre performance in the Quadrangular series held in New Zealand last year, the visitors would seek to keep its image intact as the World Champions. She said the current Indian team would be seeking to capitalise on the home conditions, are a "pretty positive lot" and hoped to do well.
