Kolkata: Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly said on Tuesday his team had achieved all its targets in the World Cup except for winning in the final. Ganguly, who flew into his hometown from Mumbai to an affectionate welcome at the NSC Bose International Airport, said, "It was a happy tournament for us. The only disappointment for us was that we did not win the final. I think we played very well. We won nine out of 11 games." Asked whether the Indian team had been able to fulfill all the tasks that it had set before itself, Ganguly replied, "Yes, except probably winning the final." Ganguly, who was carrying his daughter Sana in his arms as his wife, Dona and father, Chandi stood beside him, admitted, "359 runs put up by the Aussies was a bit too much. We did not bowl well." Asked whether the Indian team planned to continue with sports psychologist Sandy Gordon, whose services seem to have benefitted the team in South Africa, he said "let us see what happens". Asked about India's preparations for the tri-nation tournament in Bangladesh next month, Ganguly said "there is still time left" and confirmed that he was available. With fans waiting with garlands and festoons saying 'We will overcome', 'Welcome Saurav' and West Bengal Sport minister Subhas Chakraborty and industrialist Hersh Neotia at hand to welcome him, Ganguly also said he was "tired".
