Hyderabad: A city civil court on Tuesday allowed two applications filed by former skipper Mohammed Azharuddin seeking a direction to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to produce original inquiry report of CBI and to summon CBI officers who conducted the probe into the match- fixing scandal. Azhar's applications were allowed by second additional chief judge of city civil court M Vijayalakshmi, who is hearing his comprehensive suit challenging the life ban slapped on him by BCCI in the wake of match- fixing allegations. Earlier on February 19, following a direction from the court BCCI executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar deposed before an Advocate Commissioner appointed by the court and refuted the allegation that proper inquiry was not conducted before slapping the ban on the Hyderabadi batsman. The BCCI had also filed an affidavit in the court containing evidence against Azharuddin in the match-fixing scandal. In his main suit, Azhar had challenged the life ban and accused BCCI of being prejudiced against him and pre-determined to implicate him in the case.
