Resuming at the overnight first innings score of 156 for 3, Andhra was all out for 273, conceding a lead of 174 runs. Following-on, Andhra in its second innings scored 199 for 4 at the end of play. Nagagangadhar remained not out on 82, while Mohammed Faiq remained unbeaten on 51. After three matches, Tamil Nadu is leading the table with 18 points, followed by Karnataka (16), Kerala (13), Hyderabad (9), Andhra (9) and Goa 5. In another match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Karnataka scored a 90 run win over Goa. Goa, needing 246 for a win, were shot out for a meagre 155 in its second innings. Karnataka's C Raghu scalped 5 for 40 while Sudheendra Shinde took 3 for 57. Tamil Nadu secured eight points for the outright win. The other match between Hyderabad and Kerala also ended in a draw. Both teams collected three points each, since the first innings was not completed. Hyderabad, resuming its first innings at 111/1, scored 380 for 6 at the end of the play. Mohammed Imran scored a brilliant 117. He, along with Indrasekhar Reddy (44) added 126 runs for the sixth wicket.
