Hyderabad: The hearing of the main suit filed by former skipper Mohammed Azharuddin, challenging the life ban imposed on him for his alleged involvement in match-fixing scandal, has been adjourned to February 17 to enable the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) file an affidavit in the case. BCCI counsel A Venkatesh sought time till next week to file the affidavit regarding evidence of Azhar's involvement in the match-fixing scam. He informed the Hyderabad civil court that since BCCI officials had gone to South Africa in connection with the World Cup the filing of affidavit might take some time. Following this, additional chief judge M S M Vijayalakshmi, who had earlier directed the board to produce evidence by way of an affidavit, posted the matter to February 17.
