New Delhi: In a bid to tide over its current cash crisis, the Scotland cricket team is trying to rope in Indian star batsman Rahul Dravid as their overseas player for this summer. Gwynne Jones, chief executive of Scottish Cricket has revealed that the help of local business was being taken to bring Dravid to play for Scotland. "The Asian business community might rally round and help us," Jones was quoted as saying by website scotsman.com. While the cash-strapped Scotland Cricket has asked Sportscotland to fund the local members of the squad, Jones said it was looking elsewhere for help in paying one of cricket's global icon. "Rahul Dravid is either going to play for us this summer or no-one at all. That is the indication we have got from him," said Jones. "We would like to offer him game-by-game payments as part of an overall package, and we hope the Indian business community can help us out," Jones said. "There would be a massive media interest if we were to get him, and I think Indians would come from even south of the Border to watch him," he said. "We know we are not going to have 5,000 sell-out crowds here at the Grange, but I think we will be looking at 1,000 to 1,500 for these games. With Dravid on board that figure will rise significantly."
