Hyderabad: Former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin is likely to file a review petition after a city court turned down his plea to appoint an arbitrator to settle his dispute with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the lines of the Ajay Jadeja case. "We will file a review petition. It's one option," Azhar's lawyer K Jagdesh said when asked the future course of action following a city court turning down Azhar's plea to appoint an arbitrator. Second additional chief judge M Vijayalakshmi on Tuesday dismissed Azhar's application praying to refer BCCI's life ban on him to an arbitrator as was done for Ajay. Azhar's lawyer claimed he did not receive a copy of the judgement and said, "A decision would be taken after we go through the full text of it but it is logical that we go for a review petition." The stylish batsmen, who made his cricketing debut in 1985, filed his application soon after Delhi High Court appointed Justice J K Mehra as arbitrator in Ajay Jadeja's case. The judge struck down Azhar's application on the ground that there was mutual consent in Ajay Jadeja's case while there was no mutual agreement with BCCI not giving its nod in this case.
