Hyderabad: Treading a cautious path, former skipper Mohammad Azharuddin refrained from comments on the Delhi High Court appointed arbitrator, quashing the five-year BCCI ban on Ajay Jadeja. Azhar, who was banned for life from playing cricket by BCCI, said, "I have belief in the judiciary." The stylish batsman refused to take any further questions, saying his matter was pending in court and it would be 'sub-judice' to speak anything about it. BCCI had banned both Jadeja and Azharuddin on alleged match-fixing and the two players challenged the BCCI decision to ban them on the basis of an enquiry report submitted by former CBI joint director K Madhavan. With Jadeja getting a clean chit from HC appointed arbitrator, who quashed the BCCI ban on the Haryana all rounder, it remains to be seen its reflection on Azhar's case pending in a city court. Azhar's legal advisors say that hearing of the petition on the appointment of an arbitrator on the lines of Jadeja's case has been concluded. While Jadeja was banned for five years, the Board slapped a life ban on Azharuddin after Madhavan grilled the two players and gave his findings.
