Bangalore: The England under-19 team won last of its round matches on Saturday, making it three out of three. England defeated Victoria by five wickets chasing 125, to finish on top of the group. Having won the toss and elected to bat, Victoria ran into early trouble in the form of Isha Guha who once again found herself amongst the wickets. Taylor and Haynes put on some runs for the home team in the middle but it was not enough to take their team to a competitive score as Victoria was bowled out for 124 in 47.5 overs. Isha was the pick of the bowlers picking up four for 18 off 10 overs. In reply, England crossed the required target with five wickets and 24 overs to spare. Opener Alexis Mannion guided her team with a well-made 52 - for Victoria, Hunter picked up two wickets for 39 runs. England rests on Sunday.
