Mumbai: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar is all set to open his television innings on 'ESPN' and 'STAR Sports' with two exciting weekly programmes 'India Vs' and 'Sachin Speaks on World Cup Stars' where he analyses the teams and the stars in the run up to the World Cup.
In the India Vs, to be telecast on every Tuesdays at 9-00 pm on 'STAR Sports' from November five with a repeat telecast on 'ESPN' on every Wednesdays at 8-30 pm, Tendulkar provides his perspective on various teams participating in the forthcoming World Cup in South Africa, a release said on Tuesday. In each hour-long episode of 'India Vs', Tendulkar examines India's past performances against an international team and then goes on to evaluate India's chances against that team in the forthcoming African Safari, the release said. In Sachin Speaks, to be aired on 'ESPN' every Thursdays at 8-30 pm starting November 7 with repeat telecast every Friday on STAR Sports at 9-30 pm, Tendulkar will share his assessment of the World's top cricketers, whose presence is likely to make a crucial difference to their respective team's performances during the World Cup, the release said. The galaxy of stars to be featured in Sachin Speaks include Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath, Saurav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Chris Cairns, Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzaq, Jacques Kallis, Shaun Pollock, Muthiah Muralitharan, Brian Lara, Andy Flower and Andy Flintoff. Besides Tendulkar, cricketing greats like Carl Hooper, Heath Streak, Andy Flower, Stephen Fleming, Chris Harris, Shaun Pollock, Allan Donald and Jacques Kallis also offer insights on their contemporaries, the release added.
