Chennai: Buoyed by the team's spectacular showing in the Champions Trophy, Indian cricket captain Saurav Ganguly on Tuesday said his team would have the advantage over the West Indies in the home series starting October 4. "We have the clear edge. We have been performing very well as a team," Ganguly, who arrived here from Colombo in the same flight in which the Carl Hooper-led Caribbean team also landed, told reporters at the airport. On the absence of West Indies star Brian Lara, who has pulled out of the tour for health reasons, he said the visitors would miss him. "Obviously his team will miss him, so also the Indian cricket fans," he added. Speaking about the Champions Trophy, Ganguly said the team would have clinched the cup, but for the weather. "We were in a good position to win. But, we can't help the weather," he added. He said the team, which reached the final with emphatic wins, had shown vast improvement in fielding.
