 Bangalore: Was Javagal Srinath right in calling it quits from Test cricket? Should he have continued at least in the England series where the conditions are conducive for swing and pace bowlers? Is he right in now saying that he will now concentrate more on One-dayers with the World Cup in mind rather than play in Test matches? Questions and more questions have been thrown up in the minds of fans and connoisseurs alike ever since the "Mysore Express" decided that he had had enough of the longer version of the game after India's Test series loss in the West Indies. "It's very difficult for a fast bowler to stay long on the field. It is a problem of motivating oneself and the bowler can tend to lose it in the mind. The break would probably help him to motivate and get back into the right frame of mind," Karnataka veteran and 1983 World Cup hero Roger Binny told Thatscricket.com in an exclusive interview. "It may be difficult to get the motivation back, perhaps Srinath thinks it would quicker and therefore easier in One-day cricket. I feel One-day cricket, in fact, is more strenuous and much more difficult," Binny, who now works as "development officer" for Asian Cricket Council (ACC)said.
