Ponting, Srinath to meet 20 winners of Parle contest

Javagal Srinath Bangalore: Parle G's 'My Dream Come True' contest for young cricket enthusiasts culminates on Sunday with the 'lucky 20' getting to meet Australian One-day skipper Ricky Ponting, ace Indian bowler Javagal Srinath, former Indian stars Arun Lal and Brijesh Patel at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

"The children were asked to send their dreams with two wrappers of Parle biscuit packets. The contest received overwhelming success with nearly three lakh children responding. Of which nearly one lakh mentioned that they wanted to become cricketers and represent India," sources from Procam International - the event managers - told Thatscricket.com. Ricky Ponting "Lots were drawn out of the one lakh and the 20 lucky children were picked. The children aged between 9 and 16 from all over Indian will inter-act with Ponting, Srinath, Arun Lal and Brijesh Patel.
