Woolmer tired of shuttling, to retire as Warwick coach

London: Former South African coach Bob Woolmer is to stand down as Warwickshire's first team coach at the end of the season it was announced on Friday.

Woolmer, who played Test cricket for England but has since settled in South Africa, said he was leaving after a second spell with the county because he was tired of spending half the year away from his family in Cape Town. He did offer to maintain his links with Warwickshire on a part-time consultancy basis if required.
