Former South African wicket-keeper Dave Richardson, who is general manager (cricket) of ICC, arrived here in the morning while Zimbabwe's Justice Ahmed Ebrahim reached the metropolis on Sunday afternoon. Both would hold talks with the BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya and senior player Anil Kumble, representing the Indian cricketers at the meeting. The meeting is an attempt to solve the vexed players terms issue before the World Cup scheduled to begin in South Africa on February 9 to avoid a repeat of the crisis just before the ICC Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka last September. Top Indian cricketers had refused to sign the players' terms then leading to a deadlock which could be averted only at the last moment when ICC agreed to give some concessions. Justice Ebrahim and Dalmiya are members of a high-level empowered committee constituted by the ICC immediately after the Champions Trophy to resolve the issue before the World Cup.
